Friday, 25th April 2014 (4pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 12: Sunrisers Hyderabad V Delhi Daredevils

Sunrisers Hyderabad
It seems to be a much better game for the Sunrisers. Their aggression and wiseness appear to be in the right doses. The only obvious trouble comes through right towards the end – in which they will need to push themselves harder. This additional energy may be hard to find, but yet manageable. Batting and bowling will both grow steadily, with some strong finishes; whereas fielding will be quite temperamental.

The Captain – Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan has the ability to confuse himself. He will want to execute the oddest of ideas with the desire to just experiment. He will eventually gather himself and stick with some basic ideas that will be most effective.

Delhi Daredevils
A positive start could fool all of us into believing that the Daredevils have pulled themselves together. They will have the tendency to look nervous and may even make some silly errors when it matters the most. Batting won't have the best start, but they will recover well. Bowling will show good focus, but the middle overs will appear troubled. Fielding will display inconsistencies.

The Captain – Dinesh Karthik
Karthik appears tired and even under-confident. He will find his plans to be flawed and hence may seem unsure of how to re-strategise and make the right changes.

Tarot Advantage:
Sunrisers Hyderabad

Friday, 25th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 13: Chennai Super Kings V Mumbai Indians

Chennai Super Kings
The Super Kings understand how to make things tougher than usual. They initially don't appear the most confident, but this does change as the match progresses. Some quick changes and strong batting team work does put them in a good position. Bowling doesn't have the best start, but middle over onwards they pull things back. Fielding is strong and effective.

The Captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Dhoni doesn't seem so positive. He appears disappointed and a little out of sync. Forcing some changes out of himself will find him regaining his direction. Pro-active and balanced captaincy will eventually be seen out of him.

Mumbai Indians
Mumbai have this uncanny ability to create pressure upon themselves. Wanting to push for results a little too quickly just shows a nervous team. Batting will be strong with some confident partnerships, but it's the bowling that despite a good start will let them down. Fielding will not do too well.

The Captain – Rohit Sharma
The desire to win is strong, but the execution isn't on track. Sharma will find it hard to strike the right balance and enforce his ideas effectively.

Tarot Advantage:
Chennai Super Kings

Saturday, 26th April 2014 (4pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 14: Rajasthan Royals V Royal Challengers Bangalore

Rajasthan Royals
The Royals aren't too use to being put in a corner – this is one of those games in which they will look to release pressures and break free from some negative patterns they have put themselves in. Batting will show steady balance which will slowly transform into an aggressive innings. Bowling will be sharp and positive. Fielding will require better focus.

The Captain – Shane Watson
Watson is hoping to achieve everything at once – which of-course isn't logically possible. He will centre himself, regain his composure and show some good captaincy. His eventual balance could make the difference.

Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB start off quite wisely – but this air of calm will need to be more pro-active if they're to utilise many of their positives. Batting doesn't appear too comfortable; it's only towards the end that some balance will be seen. Bowling will show some good coordination and consistency. Fielding will disappoint.

The Captain – Virat Kohli
Kohli is a little hot and cold. Aggressive one moment, and lost the next. His temperamental captaincy will not help the team's cause. What does work in his favour is his ability to recognise his mistakes and rectify them once known – but in context of this match, this could be a little too late.

Tarot Advantage:
Rajasthan Royals

Saturday, 26th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 15: Kolkata Knight Riders V Kings XI Punjab

Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR know how to find the negatives from the positives. They can easily depress themselves – that's what it seems like for today too – but all this will be quite initial. The team will gain a lot of belief as the match progresses. They may not have a confident batting start, but they will manage to get out of this and put up a good innings. Bowling is consistent and well contributed by the bowlers. Fielding will be patchy, only to improve in the latter half.

The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
Gambhir knows how to get into a shell and just appear low – a phase which he should get out of from the beginning of May. But for today, he will still waver in his temperament. His balanced team strategies will keep him on track and may even inspire him to take some worthwhile risks.

Kings XI Punjab
This seems to be a different KXIP team. They appear lower in energy and hence confidence will go up and down too. Batting and bowling will both have good starts, but they may just lose momentum in the second half. Fielding will be inconsistent – sometimes brilliant and sometimes just surprisingly bad. As a team they won't look their best.

The Captain – George Bailey
Although usually wise in his approach, Bailey will find it tougher to execute some almost perfect strategies. Despite trying his best, he will find it hard to have the team fine tune and finish well.

Tarot Advantage:
Kolkata Knight Riders

~~~~~
Sunday, 27th April 2014 (4pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 16: Delhi Daredevils V Mumbai Indians
Delhi Daredevils
It's a mixed performance from the Daredevils. At want one point they can appear in complete control, but then they also have the ability to lose it to. As an example, their batting is balanced and even commanding, but their middle overs will seem like a side that's out of place. Whereas bowling will start off quite steadily but then will lose way. Luckily, fielding will still be consistent.
The Captain – Kevin Piertersen
A little anxious Pietersen will try and strike a balance between playing it too safe and being overly risky. Eventually maintaining composure, he will manage to pull out some good performances.
Mumbai Indians
There's obvious stress, anxiety and even this desire to hide. Game plans have lost confidence, but it's good energy in the field that will lift the team, especially as bowling will show better application. Batting will start off decently, but may lose way through unforced errors. It's not the most consistent game from MI, but certainly a marked improvement in potential. This game could trigger the bounce back.
The Captain – Rohit Sharma
Sharma does a lot of things correctly, but fear will make him go on the defensive just when attacking would be a better option. Although opportunities to take the team ahead will be gifted to him, he may not be able to make the best use of them.
Tarot Advantage:
Delhi Daredevils
~~~~~~~~

Sunday, 27th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 17: Sunrisers Hyderabad V Chennai Super Kings

Sunrisers Hyderabad
Here's a team that will do a lot of things correctly, but only in patches. The Sunrisers will bat fairly well, but bowling will start off quite expensively and may even seem unnecessarily troubled. Fielding will be sharp and supportive.

The Captain – Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan will have to be a quick thinker and executer – especially as pre-decided plans will not work too well – and neither will back ups. His ideas on that given moment will make the difference.

Chennai Super Kings
The Super Kings will do a lot of things quite well. Their batting may not be this constant flurry of runs, but they will build a good, solid innings. Bowling will take time to adjust itself, but eventually it will be effective. Despite lacking aggression, fielding will still be simple, balanced and smart.

The Captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Dhoni feels quite confident, and he should be as he does start off quite well, but he does need to be careful of complacency. Just a little loss in focus towards the end could see an unnecessary struggle to regain lost ground.

Tarot Advantage:
Chennai Super Kings

~~~~~~~
Monday, 28th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 18: Kings XI Punjab V Royal Challengers Bangalore
Kings XI Punjab
KXIP are a team that's in sync and in control. Their batting is well planned, aggressive and a team performance; they will understand how to battle some initial tough phases. Bowling will seem risky but result giving too. Fielders will need to back their bowlers better. It's very important that as a team they don't rely too much on their captain for guiding them on the obvious.
The Captain – George Bailey
Bailey will have to work harder on his captaincy and remain more alert if he's to use his resources more wisely. Otherwise he will end up playing catch up towards the end.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Bangalore don't have the best strategies in place, but they do have the right players. Without a road map on how to best approach this game, this team will find it tough to display good batting skills. Bowling and fielding will still be in better touch – in fact it could be their saving grace.
The Captain – Virat Kohli
Kohli is positively aggressive, but where he falters is a loss in direction. He will need to disregard some pre-decided plans. Pro-active captaincy will work best for him.
Tarot Advantage:
Kings XI Punjab
~~~~~~~
Tuesday, 29th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 19: Kolkata Knight Riders V Rajasthan Royals

Kolkata Knight Riders
It's an aggressive but directionless KKR. They add unnecessary confusions despite having the right resources. What will work in their favour is a team contribution. Batting doesn't have the best start, but they will eventually steady themselves. Bowling will appear decent but only to end up being quite expensive. Fielding will be patchy.

The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
Gambhir may seem more determined and may even have pulled himself together, but seeing it through to the end may just be tougher than he's hoping.

Rajasthan Royals
The Royals too are a little temperamental – even they seem inconsistent, but still a little steadier than their opposition. Batting will grow steadily and will show some good partnerships. Bowling will start and seem confident but they will need to be more careful at the end. Fielding is well balanced.

The Captain – Shane Watson
Watson is striking a balance between aggression and letting some things just flow naturally. His balanced captaincy will be the difference as he will instinctively understand when to change gears.

Tarot Advantage:
Rajasthan Royals

~~~~~~~
Wednesday, 30th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 20: Mumbai Indians V Sunrisers Hyderabad
Mumbai Indians
The IPL really hasn't started off for MI yet – quite literally as they have no points on the board. This is obviously going to reflect in their body language, but the positive today is their intent. They're certainly working hard towards getting out of this phase. What's troubling is their batting – despite a recovery, it could still have performed better. Bowling will still be better aligned and planned. Fielding will be sharp.
The Captain – Rohit Sharma
It seems as if Sharma is on self-destruct mode. He has the right plans, the right players in place, but anxiety is making him overly defensive. He will leave his attack right to the last minute, but this may just be too late.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
The Sunrisers don't seem to be doing to well either. Their batting looks pressured and even fearful at times. Initially they're appearing overly careful, but they should finish well. Bowling is deceptive and smart – with a few week middle overs, they should remain composed and do well. Fielding will be inconsistent.
The Captain – Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan isn't comfortable and by looking at his initial body language he will not be in sync. His team is supportive of him and even look to take over the reigns from time to time. Despite some setbacks, he will end strongly.
Tarot Advantage:
Sunrisers Hyderabad
~~~~~~~
Friday, 2nd May 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 21: Chennai Super Kings V Kolkata Knight Riders

Chennai Super Kings
The Super Kings do seem content – but this may not be the way to approach this game. Well directed aggression will be the need of the hour. The team will come together well, especially with their batting from mid-overs onwards. Bowling will initially lack direction but this will change as the match progresses. Fielding will be smart and effective.

The Captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Dhoni will feel the pressure of captaincy, and it will show. Most of it is because he is trying to push for things a little to quickly. This may lead him to take risks which will luckily pay off for a quick turn around.

Kolkata Knight Riders
There are many positives from KKR this game. They're wiser from their 5 match experiences and they have understood how to mould themselves more effectively. But where they lose their way is in how they finish. Batting starts well, but will go soft when it matters most. Bowling will be more professional and controlled. Fielding will be patchy.

The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
Gambhir has these preconceived ideas which may not make sense. He will find himself going back to the most basic plans and seeing results from them. His captaincy will eventually seem more balanced and much improved.

Tarot Advantage:
Chennai Super Kings

~~~~~~
Saturday, 3rd May 2014 (4pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 22: Mumbai Indians V Kings XI Punjab
Mumbai Indians
There's composure and a desire to regain control from the Mumbai Indians. In many ways they will manage to do just that – their changes will work well and create better balance in which better team work will be seen. Batting will have a plan, although there will be a dip mid-way, but a strong ending will keep them positive. Bowling will have a good, controlled start, but may not end so well. Fielding will be patchy, with some outstanding moments and some very ordinary ones.
The Captain – Rohit Sharma
Sharma has the right plans and even manages to execute them quite well, but towards the end he will appear nervous and may begin to lose confidence. His saving grace will be some excellent team support that will keep him pro-active.
Kings XI Punjab
Here's the strange part, Kings XI will bat well, and bowl well yet it's as if there's an air of over-confidence about them. This is where complacency can set in and may change their confident performance into one in which minor errors could get them off track and we may end up seeing glimpses of KXIP of 2013. Fielding will show inconsistencies.
The Captain – George Bailey
Bailey doesn't necessarily have the right pre-decided ideas, but he does have the ability to think quickly and make appropriate changes. His captaincy could prove to be crucial in getting them cross the line.
Tarot Advantage:
Kings XI Punjab
~~~~~
Saturday, 3rd May 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 23: Delhi Daredevils V Rajasthan Royals

Delhi Daredevils
There's a steadiness about the Daredevils, especially as the right plans are in place. But will the execution be correct too? Batting will come under certain strain but a fightback will be seen. Bowling will start well and gain good control, but finishing will be weak. Fielding will not start so well, but its' standards will improve.

The Captain – Kevin Pietersen
Pietersen isn't in sync with what he wants to do and how he plans to achieve it. Despite having the right backing, he will have to be better focussed to see desired results.

Rajasthan Royals
The Royals aren't rich in ideas – in-fact some ideas may even appear silly. As the match progresses, they will gain control and balance. Their batting will have a nervy start, but this will build well and opportunities will be well utilised. Bowling will be sharp but with some end over inconsistencies. Fielding will be aggressive.

The Captain – Shane Watson
Watson is unsure, but that's fine as he's willing to experiment and find a flexible formula. His fluctuations will eventually see him pick up the reigns and make some sound decisions for the team.

Tarot Advantage:
Rajasthan Royals

Wednesday, 16th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 1: Mumbai Indians V Kolkata Knight Riders

Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians have a nervy start. Although they have put together their resources well and do feel confident about themselves, but this is a tough challenge. To translate their skills into real results may not be so simple. Batting will be inconsistent – despite a steady start; there will be dips which won't allow for a healthy momentum. Bowling is confident and balanced. Whereas fielding will show moments of brilliance, but a lack of focus will show. As a team they will have to be more realistic about how they approach the game.

The Captain – Rohit Sharma
Sharma is unduly nervous – he's creating unnecessary pressure upon himself. Although the team work and management will look positive, but he will find it tough to take things through to the end. A good start may not lead to a positive end.

Kolkata Knight Riders
It's a soft and tentative approach from KKR. As a management they're willing to take risks from the onset – a change in tactics will see them come through well. Their aggression and balance will appear most refined and apt in their batting. They do carry better confidence despite them being slower than their opposition. Bowling may not have the best start, but this will change as confidence is built. This will eventually steady to give better results. Fielding towards the end will come under strain - this will have to improve if they're to support their bowlers.

The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
Gambhir appears fresher and more positive than IPL 6. His balance and being able to understand the situation well will help him take more confident decisions. This growth will allow him to push at the opposition.

Tarot Advantage:
Kolkata Knight Riders.

Thursday, 17th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 2: Delhi Daredevils V Royal Challengers Bangalore

Delhi Daredevils
They appear and then they disappear. Delhi Daredevils will have their moments – at one point they will seem strong and very charismatic, but then they will start losing their way. Batting starts well and ends well – it's mid-way that they will begin to seem slower. This isn't so sensible as they could create problems for themselves. Bowling is well thought out, but end overs will lose focus. Fielding will be fairly consistent.

The Captain – Dinesh Karthik
Karthik has been thrown into the deep-end – although appearing pre-prepared, he will still find it a challenge to execute some well thought out plans. He will have to gather his thoughts and act faster if he is to do justice to his role today, otherwise he will feel disappointed with himself for making this game harder than it looks.

Royal Challengers Bangalore
It seems to be a temperamental day for RCB too. They're unsure and seem uncomfortable – more so with their bowling. Bowling maybe be more expensive than usual whereas batting will be strong and authoritative. Fielding will be smart too. But where does it go wrong? Well, it's just the lack of consistency and a constant fluctuation in plans that will create instability. Some quick last minute changes could end up saving them.

The Captain – Virat Kohli
Kohli is over working this. He isn't calm and believes he has a point to prove. The IPL 6 hangover is still there. He will have to take a back seat and slow down if he is to receive benefit from match situations. Constantly appear agitated will effect the potential authority he can stamp on this game as a captain.
Tarot Advantage:
Royal Challengers Bangalore

~~~~~~~~
Friday, 18th April 2014 (4pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 3: Chennai Super Kings V Kings XI Punjab
Chennai Super Kings
A little risky in their approach, CSK will make it a point to add challenges not only for the opposition, but for themselves too. As the game progresses they will begin to look well oiled, with glimpses of the strong team we're used to seeing. Batting will initially feel like a battle – where strong application and a structured innings will see them do well. Bowling will be well planned and executed. It's fielding that will have to look more in command – being too complacent will cause problems.
The Captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni
This match won't be the best display of Dhoni's captaincy. He will appear confused and a little too soft. He may not agree with his pre-match ideas and may choose to be unnecessarily defensive.
Kings XI Punjab
KXIP seem nervous and apprehensive too, but what they show outwardly will be disciplined aggression. This will be more so with their bowling and fielding – where smart execution will give them rewards. Initial batting will seem confused and unstable; it's towards the end that this will improve. What works for them today is their enthusiasm.
The Captain – George Bailey
It's a game of adjustment for Bailey. He won't be easing into the role of captaincy, instead it will be a bit of a stop-start for him - he will build his confidence up, only for it to be deflated and then again to propel it up again. His wise decision making will bring out a lot of team positives.
Tarot Advantage:
Chennai Super Kings
~~~~~~~~
Friday, 18th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 4: Sunrisers Hyderabad V Rajasthan Royals

Sunrisers Hyderabad
Outwardly, things may not feel right about the Sunrisers – but all that's just temporary. In fact their aggression will be well directed and even productive. Batting will be effective, but bowling will not be far behind either. Fielding will be sharp and positive. So not a lot going wrong, but maintaining intensity in middle over bowling and batting is what will make the difference.

The Captain – Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan will be tempted to adopt a defensive approach from time to time – but this may not work so well. He will need to generate some faith in pre-decided strategies as they will be beneficial. Overall, this first match of the season will help him grow in confidence.

Rajasthan Royals
It's hard to rule out a team like the Royals. But what does trouble them this game is their fear and anxiety. Wanting to prove too much in one go will only confuse themselves. Instead, the focus needs to be on creating balance. Batting will have to be better applied and bowling/fielding will have to show more intensity. They're not facing a tough opposition, instead they're facing a well directed one. Hence they will have to gather themselves better.

The Captain – Shane Watson
Watson's ideas may seem unrealistic and even just pushing for too much too quickly. As the match progresses, he will manage to understand situations better and show good skills as a captain.

Tarot Advantage:
Sunrisers Hyderabad

~~~~~~~
Saturday, 19th April 2014 (4pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 5: Royal Challengers Bangalore V Mumbai Indians
Royal Challengers Bangalore
There's a streak of confidence about RCB. They take their positive first win into this game too – especially with their batting, which although will show some cracks but not ones that will leave lasting damage. Bowling starts and ends well – but inconsistent fielding will bring some troubled mid-overs.
The Captain – Virat Kohli
Strangely, Kohli is anxious, despite having the right team dynamics, his nervousness will lead him to delay his tactics. He does have to be careful of leaving things just a little too late.
Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians are certainly disappointed with their start and believe they're capable of much better – which they are, but there are areas which will not work well for them. Bowling will be patchy, but effective at crucial times. Fielding will seem out of sync. Batting will show more confidence and consistency. It isn't one of their finest performances, but a definite improvement from their first one.
The Captain – Rohit Sharma
Sharma's captaincy is on the right path, but he will have the tendency to lose belief – this will have an impact on the team and the result. The problem with Sharma is that he feels he is low on resources, when in fact he isn't. He will have to get over this quite quickly if he is be a more effective captain.
Tarot Advantage:
Royal Challengers Bangalore
~~~~~~~~
Saturday, 19th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 6: Kolkata Knight Riders V Delhi Daredevils

Kolkata Knight Riders
For KKR it's all about hard work and application. A formula they will continue to adopt in this game too. They will have to be most careful with their batting – an inconsistent start will push them on the back foot, hence wasting crucial time to consolidate, but luckily a recovery is likely. Bowling will need to be more aggressive, otherwise the opposition will push to capitalise on such strategies. Fielding will be confident.

The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
A little unrealistic at times, and sometimes a little negative too – Gambhir will pull himself out of temperamental thoughts and find a comfort zone in which he will be able to take better control of his team and the situations they will get themselves in.

Delhi Daredevils
Delhi has better plans, but inconsistent execution. Although a better display of cricket in this game, Delhi will have to be more aggressive. Batting will have some magical moments and a good player innings will be seen. Bowling will start well, and may even put them in a strong position, but again – it'll be tough to maintain consistency. Fielding may just be too expensive.

The Captain – Dinesh Karthik
Karthik now seems more at ease as a captain. He will appear in control for quite a large part of the match, but his errors will come towards the end where he will become unnecessarily defensive. Instant tactical changes will not work out well.

Tarot Advantage:
Kolkata Knight Riders

~~~~~~~~
Sunday, 20th April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 7: Rajasthan Royals V Kings XI Punjab
Rajasthan Royals
The Royals seem to have a softer but a more calculative approach against KXIP. But they could do get themselves into trouble by delaying their attacks. Batting will be steady and sensible, whereas bowling will have to face a tougher challenge. Fielding will have to be more aggressive.
The Captain – Shane Watson
Watson is well balanced, but he will benefit from re-strategising, as initial ideas may not work in his favour. Instability in individual performances may force some changes.
Kings XI Punjab
Kings XI are well planned, but they have to be careful of going on the defensive a little too soon – or even when it's not required. Batting will be confident with a good innings on display – weariness will come towards the end. Whereas bowling will take longer to adjust and may seem more effective in the latter half. Fielding will be strong.
The Captain – George Bailey
Bailey isn't entirely feeling right – but he has faith in his team and the tactics they wish to follow. As the game progresses, his confidence will grow and so will the team's performance.
Tarot Advantage:
Kings XI Punjab
~~~~~~~~~~~
Monday, 21st April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 8: Chennai Super Kings V Delhi Daredevils

Chennai Super Kings
It's a cool, calm and collected team, yet strategies are a little out of place. They will learn this the hard way, but this will also push them to apply themselves and create the right situations that will allow for better successes. Batting is confident with some strong partnerships. Bowling will start with the right intensity, but towards the end it will lose aggression. Fielding will be inconsistent.

The Captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Dhoni is gathering himself well and is appearing more in sync with the game. His regained focus will have the team benefit, especially as his assessments will be more accurate than the previous game.

Delhi Daredevils
The Daredevils will be highly competitive. Their tactics are well planned, but execution may not be to such a level. Batting will have its' moments of glory but this too will be patchy. Bowling will still have a better start but this will not hold till the end. Fielding will be strong and effective.

The Captain – Kevin Pietersen
Although Pietersen will be an instinctive captain, he will find it tough to translate this into result giving action. He may even appear confused and may start to lose direction. The team's plans will be his saving grace – it's better if he sticks to it.

Tarot Advantage:
Chennai Super Kings

~~~~~~~~~~~
Tuesday, 22nd April 2014 (8pm IST)
IPL 7 – Match 9: Kings XI Punjab V Sunrisers Hyderabad
Kings XI Punjab
There's an air of confidence about the team. Although their strategies may not be so sound, but their energy is high and aggressive. Batting is positive with strong partnerships. Bowling is in better control and well coordinated. Overall fielding is smart but with some lapses.
The Captain – George Bailey
Bailey needs to be careful of relying on pre-decided strategies. Instead, instinctive actions will be more beneficial. His captaincy will be balanced and consistent.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers start well and even execute their plans well, but they will find it tough to continue this momentum. They will put up a tough fight, but bowling may not be so consistent. Batting will have an important middle over performance. Fielding will be effective.
The Captain – Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan's captaincy is well balanced and clear. His positivity is infectious but he will have to hold this through till the end to see them through.
Tarot Advantage:
Kings XI Punjab
IPL 7 – Match 10: Rajasthan Royals V Chennai Super Kings
Rajasthan Royals
The Royals may not have the ideal game plan, but they will still manage to pull themselves together and perform with some command. Their batting will have an aggressive start but they will be pulled back; their nervousness could be a cause for this. Overall bowling will be balanced, but some basic errors will cost them. Fielding appears inconsistent.
The Captain – Shane Watson
Although secure and comfortable with his ideas, Watson's temperamental mindset may cause him to take decisions that are extreme; sometimes too soft and sometimes too aggressive.
Chennai Super Kings
The Super Kings are still finding their way. Positive yes, but they will need to be weary of going on the defensive when it matters most (right towards the end). Batting will be their saving grace as it will be balanced and positively aggressive. Bowling may not look the most comfortable, but they will still manage to provide some stability. Fielding will be an important factor as its' support will bring important twists.
The Captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Highly resourceful, independent thinking Dhoni will have some odd ideas. Most of his experiments will work very well for the team, but there will be those one or two strange decisions that will not work out.
Tarot Advantage:
Chennai Super Kings
IPL 7 – Match 11: Royal Challengers Bangalore V Kolkata Knight Riders
Royal Challengers Bangalore
This game ends up being like a chase for RCB – they're playing catch up. Despite the right balance, they will find themselves having to push things right to the end. Batting will be steady with some strong middle overs. Bowling will work to a plan, but fielding will be inconsistent. So where could it go wrong for them? There will be periods of silly confusions that could throw them off track.
The Captain – Virat Kohli
Kohli will have to be very careful of wanting to make multiple changes all at once. He's adding unnecessary pressure on himself which won't allow him to make and follow his strategies with clarity. Last minute calm and focus could just help him get through this.
Kolkata Knight Riders
The Knight Riders are focusing on the basics. Their plans are wise and simple; allowing the team to move ahead with clarity. Batting will display some good partnerships. They will have to improve their bowling; which in the latter half will be stable. Fielding too in the second half will be better.
The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
There is some strange confusion in Gambhir's demeanour – but mentally he's quite clear and open to making quick changes. He's going to be a pro-active captain that will understand how to pull the team out of some disappointing moments.
Tarot Advantage:
Kolkata Knight Riders
Mumbai Indians:
Reigning champions, Mumbai Indians still carry the same energy about them. They haven't deflated their will post a successful 2013. But there are a few areas where cracks will be seen, with the most important one being their strategies. Their aggression will see them do quite well, but strategically their will be conflict. Moments will be lost due to inefficiency.
Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings may have a bit of mixed start – with the tendency to lose self-belief, it will be important for them to push themselves out of this phase earlier rather than leaving it too late. Balanced captaincy and ideas will have them emerge out of their issues and come out stronger.
Rajasthan Royals
It's always team work with Rajasthan Royals and this time it's no different. But some practical changes will be necessary as they will find it hard to adjust to venue conditions. This may even effect their style of playing at their new home ground.
Kings XI Punjab
Some things just tend to become a habit, and KXIP have gotten into this 'last minute sprint' habit. Although they will be dedicated and in fact, they will have a decent enough start, but they will lead themselves into a dip. This odd situation will cause some panic. A re-emergence is on the cards.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Passionate and sensible – there is a lot going for Hyderabad, especially their collective contributions. They will manage to put themselves in a strong position but if they're to lose it, it will be their own doing. The last portion of the tournament may see them make silly errors, which they should come out of.
Delhi Daredevils
IPL success requires a fine balance of aggression and calm – but in appropriate doses. The Daredevils may start off too softly, leaving them quite a bit to do in the latter half of the season. In fact a fresh spurt of energy may see them compete better.
Kolkata Knight Riders
The ideas are right, but the implementation is out of focus. KKR will enjoy the season, but when it comes to consistent results, they will have to improve a few things; sticking to plans is one very important part – constant wavering will lead to silly mistakes. All is not lost as once this is realised, they can make a come back.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Wiseness will come to RCB's rescue. After a confident start, they may just begin to self-destruct. But a helping hand and a steady head will have them recover well, troubling many oppositions in return. (
