Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR are looking eager to win, but they will need to be careful of taking the Sunrisers too lightly. This will cause them to go off track and they may end up making crucial mistakes in the field. The Knight Riders should end strongly and therefore must look to do the basics well.

The Captain – Gautam Gambhir
Some practical decisions will be seen from Gambhir. He will work hard and be well prepared, in fact he is looking to progress steadily in the match. His plans and confidence will be an important factor to see KKR through.

Sunrisers Hyderabad
The Sunrisers are showing glimpses of growing confidence. They will do well in the field, but may not finish their bowling on a strong note. Mid-way through their innings, their batting will go through some problems. There will be a lot for them to work upon, yet their strength will be their adaptability.

The Captain – Kumar Sangakkara
There will be a real effort from Sangakkara to step up his game, which he will be successful in, but maintaining it maybe tough. His instinctive decision making will work in his favour, but it's the end part of the match that is looking weakest.

Rajasthan Royals
The Royals start off confident and will maintain the right balance. Concerns will arise when the opposition do not succumb as easily – this will add confusion and will trigger some hasty decisions from the team. Their batting will have a weak start, only to pick up as the innings progresses.

The Captain – Rahul Dravid
There is a lot of dependency on Dravid's control and his decision making. He will understand and adapt to the situation well, but not without putting in immense effort.

Kings XI Punjab
There is great energy and enthusiasm in the team, but they will need to show better control and direction. There will be moments where they will look uncomfortable and then appear very strong. It will be important for them to stick to their plans. They will end their batting on a high. 

The Captain – Adam Gilchrist
Gilchrist will utilise his aggression wisely – he will know when to charge ahead and when to just wait. His judgement will be an important factor.
