For me Tarot reading is not entirely about predicting the future, but more about reading the signs that guide us to allow the correct decision making for any questions, confusions and clarity that we may require.

“When people consult me, it’s not that I’m reading the future; I am guessing at the future. The future belongs to God, and it is only he who reveals it, under extraordinary circumstances. How do I guess at the future? Based on the omens of the present…”
-The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho (pg.108)

And for me the ‘omens’ are made more obvious through the Tarot cards.

How did I get involved?
Well, I started going to a Tarot Reader (who later became my teacher) many years ago. It was really inspiring to see how her guidance through the cards were such a support and allowed me to see things from a perspective that wasn’t normal for me. I became inspired and wanted to learn too, yet I found that not everyone could do justice to Tarot reading as you had to develop the intuitive side to you. Luckily I was always someone who had an intuitive voice – but I now began to listen to that voice and develop it.

It's been over six years now and I'm still enjoying the growth Tarot has brought into my life and the lives of my clients.

ABOUT TAROT

History

The Tarot started off being used as playing cards, such as the Italian Tarocchini and French Tarot in mid-15th century Europe. From the late 18th century until the present time the Tarot is being used by mystics and occultists to divulge into the present, the future and into the mental & spiritual pathways.

The modern Tarot deck consists of 78 cards, which are divided into two sections; the Minor Arcana consisting of 56 cards, and the Major Arcana which carries the remaining 22 cards. It’s the Major Arcana that has intrigued the world, yet I find the Minor Arcana’s 56 cards just as important since many a times it’s the minor issues in our lives that solve the most major of problems.
